Educational holidays in Britain for the whole family

The Field Studies Council (FSC), a registered Charity, is now offering educational holidays for families.

It is now taking bookings for stays from 3rd August.

For 75 years, the charity has run outdoor courses and activities, mainly for school groups.

FSC regards itself as an environmental charity and aims to foster an interest in the natural world which will inspire a generation to value and protect it.

The holidays aim to create the sort of shared family experiences that define both childhood and parenthood.

It is clear that the staff really believe in what they’re doing.

FSG have opted for a simple pricing structure – £35 per night for each family member (under 3’s go free). That includes meals, unlimited hot and cold drinks and participation in a family activity every day. The centres also have indoor TV and games areas.

Nine centres in scenic locations across England, Scotland and Wales are being made “Covid secure” in preparation for the August opening.

The holidays are being marketed as “Real Family Holidays”.

Nine locations are on offer:- Box Hill (Surrey), Yorkshire Dales, Scottish Islands, Lake District, Dale Fort (Pembrokeshire), Orielton (Pembrokeshire), South Wales, Somerset and Start Bay (Devon)
